2022 Cabernet Malbec

BACK VINTAGE - 2015 Black MonsterMade from single vineyard Donnybrook Malbec, a small production wine and Lamont’s flagship red.A deep burgundy black with typical magenta rim, aromatics of dark plum and blackberry. This wine spent 18 months in new and one-year old French oak barriques prior to bottling. The natural acidity provides the backbone around which the generous fruit and well married oak linger to give heighten flavours on the late palate.  As yet youthful, the wine is dense, velvety and drying, showing great cellaring potential.Alc/Vol 14.0%Drink now or cellar in the long term. ‘Have a monster meal of roasted & braised lamb shanks with rosemary & roasted duck fat potatoes! Inspired by Corin Lamont's late father, Jack Mann. A supple advantageous blend, vibrant dark plum colour with intense dark red fruits. Extended oak maturation allows for an engaging wine. Optimum balancing of rich fruit and grained tannins.Alc/Vol 14.8%

 2020 Corin’s BlendThis popular wine style is a happy blend of equal portions of Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro, all Swan Valley sourced fruit. Following fermentation, the individual wines were matured in second use French oak for 8 months prior to bottling. Aromatic ripe plums and spice introduces a generous middle palate with tannins soft and juicy with just a hint of well married oak. Displaying the benefit of almost 18 months bottle age has now made this medium bodied wine with its clean finish eminently drinkable. Recommended to be served lightly chilled in summer.
