NV Liqueur Shiraz

$70.00

A very concentrated style of fortified red wine. The Swan Valley Shiraz in this
wine is from very old, non irrigated, low yielding vines and is hand picked
when extremely ripe and raisined. The resulting wine is aged in barrels for
many years and is then blended with much older reserve material. A portion of
Jack Mann’s original *solera concentrated over several decades is included in
this blend (2%). The bulk of the solera is Corin’s own from the eighties and
nineties. An extremely rich, complex fortified wine exhibiting characters of
dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, raisin and some earthier savoury notes.
This bottling is the entire solera and therefore will never be repeated.
Alc/Vol 19.00

A beautiful balance of fragrant fruit, fine tannins and subtle oak. Alc/vol 14% Drink now or cellar in the medium term. ‘Recently we served a flatbread with marinated mushrooms, gruyère, thyme and a hint of truffle oil at an event and although simple, it worked matching with both sweet and savoury overtones of this pinot.’

2012 Lamont’s VP

$35.00
Perfect seasonal conditions allowed for a small selection of Lamont’s back block Shiraz to be made into this fortified style which is aged in the bottle rather than in oak. Inky purple/black in appearance, with liquorice, spice aniseed and coffee on the bouquet. Sumptuous flavours of intense plum and fruit cake fill the palate up to the satisfying traditional dry finish. Maturing nicely at the moment, the wine can be enjoyed now but will continue to develop complexity for the next ten to fifteen years. Alc/Vol 19.00 Drink now or cellar in the long term ’Our fortifieds have been made to sip & savour! However by grabbing your favourite chocolate, cake, dessert or cheese these wines can be enjoyed and act as a buffer to the “opening” of another table wine that could possibly put you in the hurt locker tomorrow! Please enjoy.’ - Corin Kate & Fiona

A heady lift of lychee, spiced floral aromas on the bouquet lead to a weighty medium-sweet palate of luscious cumquat and marmaladelike fruits. NV Navera

$35.00
A classic Australian liqueur style is made from Swan Valley low-yielding old vine, dry grown Navera (a Muscat derivative), Pedro Ximenez (PX) and Frontignac (Brown Muscat). The components of this wine are aged for an average of ten years before careful selection and blending. The colour in the glass is a brilliant deep golden/amber with a slight khaki hue. The bouquet - a lift of ripe apricots, raisins and liqueured cumquats. The palate is rich, warm and luscious with a long lingering finish. To surprise and delight, try it also as a cocktail with plenty of ice and a small wedge of lime (squeeze out the juice first). Alc/Vol 19.00
